Coral snakes are normally non aggressive, unless provoked.  But my dog startled this one and is was ready to attack. Freddie passed right over the snake.  The snake was startled and went into attack mode, Fred quickly trapped head with a fork stick.

The coral snake is a small snake but very deadly – we were lucky to see it, and then we let it go.
